In 2004 Simon Avedissian took time off of his busy schedule with school and AYF (Armenian Youth Federation) to start his career in skimboarding. Simon was quickly taken in by a number of Balboa skimboarders due to his enthusiasm for the sport and smooth style. Balboa local Emil Davis was the first to take notice in Simon’s quick attachment to the sport and soon became his mentor. Simon’s repetitive skim sessions and desire to succeed in the sport finally paid off when he won his first amateur event in Santa Cruz and soon after that he was picked up by Exile Skimboards.
Simon’s level of skimboarding skyrocketed after his add to the Exile team and it showed once again as he dominated the amateur division at the 2008 Victoria Championship taking first place. When Simon is not out chasing the girls you can count on seeing him skimboarding the balboa pier, as he constantly is trying new tricks and techniques to further his skill in the sport.

Simon rides an XS Pro Shape 3/4" Double Carbon Fiber Exile Skimboard.
